IndieGen.XYZ is a virtual indie entertainment/pop culture con that makes it easy to find reliable, professional independent creators of books, comics, games, and videos with high production values. These small businesses and indie creators have had a perennial problem – invisibility.

I hope that by creating this site, I can help small businesses and our creative community be more visible and resilient as well as connect you with the very best in fresh new stories. Let’s make this happen! #IndieGenXYZ

Just go to the Browse Booths page and try out the search functions – more booths will be added every Friday for the foreseeable future. Keep in mind that clicking on a booth takes you away from IndieGen.xyz and to the site the creator uses for their sales page. This can be the creator’s own site, or wherever their work is sold.

Some of the booths may use affiliate or referral links. These add nothing to your purchase price and typically increase the percentage of royalties that the creator gets from a sale. If an affiliate program is available but creators aren’t allowed to use an affiliate link for their own work, IndieGen.xyz may join the program and use a referral link.

Applications for virtual booths are open! I am creating a database of creators for visitors to search. It is currently free to apply for a booth and to be listed.

Convention Program

What counts as “independently generated entertainment?” What kinds of creators and businesses are eligible for a booth?

Creator-Owned Intellectual Property

Are you self-publishing? Are you in a non-exclusive, limited-time, or profit-sharing partnership with a publisher? If your work still belongs to you and you’re just renting out some of the rights to someone else to help you get it published or distributed, you have independently generated work.

Even if the only link you can supply to buy it goes to Amazon, if it’s yours, you can sell it.

Team-Created Works

Did your project require you to hire or collaborate with other creators? Most do! You are still operating independently of the major publishers and studios that comprise the mainstream.

Small Press, Publisher, or Studio

Do you work with individual creators on a non-exclusive, limited-time, or profit-sharing partnership to release and sell their work? Great! You are providing support and services to independent creators. You are eligible for a virtual booth too.

Local Retailer

Are you an owner of a comics or games shop that stocks indie-created merchandise? Are you not part of a national chain of stores? Congratulations, you can have a booth too!

If you are not WalMart, Amazon, HarperCollins, Disney, DC, or any similarly-sized corporation, or selling work that is the property of any similarly-sized corporation, chances are, you are indie enough for me.
